Has been on the staff of the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research in Zagreb since 1990.

Guest lecturer at the University of Zagreb - Faculty of Philosophy (1998 - ); Croatian Studies (2002, 2003); Academy of Music (2002, 2003). Lectures at the Croatian Emigration Institute's School of Folklore (2000 - ). Holds courses in Croatian folkdance at home and abroad (LCV and Dansakademie Brabant, Tilburg 1987 and Folkloredans bedrijf Slof 1997, 1999-2003, The Netherlands, Germany, 1991; Institut f ü r Volksmusikforschung, Vienna, Austria 1993).

Member of the editorial board of Biblioteke Nova etnografija, member Publication Committee Study Group on Ethnochoreology, International Council for Traditional Music ( ICTM), occasional member of the editorial board of the journal Narodna umjetnost - hrvatski časopis za etnologiju i folkloristiku / Croatian Journal of Ethnology and Folklore Research .
Publishes scholarly and popular texts and critiques, and participates at scholarly congress in Croatia and outside its borders. Does research into dance, performance context, dance events in the past and in the present, history and development of ethnochoreology, dance ethnology, and anthropology and ethnography.

Associate of the Miroslav Krleža Croatian Ethnographical Institute ( Hrvatski leksikon [Croatian Lexicon] , Hrvatski biografski leksikon [Croatian Biographical Lexicon] ), Croatian Culture Assembly, Croatian Radio-Television, and Culturnet.

Member of Matrix Croatica , the Croatian Ethnological Society, Croatian Musicological Society, International Council for Traditional Music, and the International Organization for Folk Art.

Member of the Managing Council of the Lado Croatian Folk Dances and Songs Ensemble. Member (1979 - ) and artistic director (1990-1993) of the Ivan Goran Kovačić Culture and Art Society Folklore Ensemble, member of the Peasant Harmony Board (1991 - ) and of professional committees of regional and county folklore festivals, the Vinkovački Jeseni Festival, and an associate of the International Folklore Festival in Zagreb (1981 - ).
