DARIAH-EU (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) is a pan-European research infrastructure that supports digital research and teaching in the arts and humanities. Established as a consortium in 2014, DARIAH-EU currently includes 23 member countries and numerous collaborators. It connects experts from member states and develops infrastructure to assist researchers in utilizing ICT tools for the creation and analysis of digital resources. DARIAH integrates the best digital activities and results at the European level, contributing to the development of digital research methods, data preservation, and the promotion of best practices in the arts and humanities, thereby influencing science, education, culture, and the economy.

DARIAH-EU operates most directly through its working groups, which individuals or institutions can establish to explore specific topics through the lens of digital humanities on an international scale. Croatia currently leads two working groups: the Theatralia working group, dedicated to the study of theater in a digital context, and the ELDAH (Ethics and Legality in the Digital Arts and Humanities) working group, focused on exploring ethical and legal issues in digital humanities research.

DARIAH-HR is the national branch of this pan-European infrastructure, and Croatia is one of its 15 founding countries. DARIAH-HR promotes the use of digital tools in the study of arts and humanities, encourages best practices, tools, and projects, and advocates for open access to information and the free sharing of research results and innovations.

The Ministry of Science, Education and Youth (MZOM) serves as the national representative for DARIAH-HR, while the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research (IEF) acts as the national coordinating institution. Dr. Koraljka Kuzman Šlogar, Research Associate, is the national coordinator of DARIAH-HR. Dr. Ivana Štokov, Senior Assistant, and Anamarija Žugić Borić, Assistant, also participate in the work of the national coordination of DARIAH-HR.
