Few people actually know about Irma Polak. From the age of 16, she performed in the theater, first in Ljubljana and Vienna, and from 1901 in Zagreb at the Croatian National Theater. As a soprano, she performed about 40 operatic and 80 operetta roles, becoming a famous operetta singer. Her husband was Aleksandar Binički, director, actor and opera singer, member of the Opera of Croatian National Theater. In 1920, they founded the Pick cabaret.
