Call for papers: 6th DARIAH-HR International Conference Digital Humanitie & Heritage
The call for papers is now open for the 6th DARIAH-HR International Conference Digital Humanities & Heritage, which will take place from 7 to 9 October 2026 at the Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia.
This year’s conference, entitled Cultural Memory vs. Machine Memory, explores the relationship between cultural memory, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence. Particular attention will be given to digital heritage, archives, research infrastructures, algorithmic knowledge, humanistic interpretation, and the ethical and societal challenges arising from the growing use of AI in culture and heritage.
We invite submissions of theoretical, methodological, empirical, creative, and practice-based contributions in the fields of the humanities, arts, and cultural heritage, particularly within the following thematic areas:
- Cultural Memory, Archives, and Digital Infrastructures
- Machine Memory, AI, and Algorithmic Knowledge
- Humanistic Interpretation in the Age of Automation
- Heritage, Identity, and Public Engagement
- Art, Creativity, and Machine-Generated Culture
- Digital Humanities, Research Infrastructures, and Society
- Critical Memory Infrastructures and Digital Resilience
We invite proposals for individual presentations, posters, and panels. Submissions should include an abstract of up to 500 words, a short biographical note of up to 200 words, and a photograph.
